Rafael Font

Rafa Font is an IT Engineer (University of Oviedo, Spain, 2003), and MSc in Sustainable Development and ICT4D (Royal Holloway, UK, 2014). He has 10+ years professional experience in the IT sector in Europe, specially in the EU institutions. He approaches e-waste with an interest in the social and environmental consequences of the use of IT, and at the same time from a human development point of view. His research in Agbogbloshie, Ghana, integrates communal workshops (Makerspaces) and appropriate technology to take more advantage of e-waste, at the same time challenging the definition of waste itself.
