Andrea Jiménez Cisneros

Andrea Jimenez Cisneros was born in Peru and has five years of experience working on social projects, focused specifically on communication for development strategies. She came to the UK to study a Masters programme in ICT4D, where she focused on social innovation at a  in the city of Lusaka, Zambia. After that she worked for the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) where she helped manage an on-line Community of Practice (CoP) of over 11,000 members worldwide. This work focussed on the use of information and communication technologies (ICTs) for smallholder agriculture.

She is currently conducting PhD research at Royal Holloway, University of London. Her research is on collaboration and social innovation; and how collaborative spaces like technology hubs, can be conducive spaces for inclusive social innovation. She is a member of the  and she also tweets as
